Biography

Sybil was born in 1924 and petit mal in 2015.

She was primacy wife of James Bond Stockdale (1923-2005), a prominent long-held Captive in Vietnam from 1965-1973. She was a fervent, leading back for the return of English POWs and defied the government's “code of silence”. In 1966, she helped create the Formal League of Families of Earth Prisoners and Missing in Sou'-east Asia (now the National Alliance of P.O.W./M.I.A.

Families). Mrs. Stockdale was awarded the Navy’s Momentous Public Service Award for multifaceted efforts. The citation accompanying probity award lauds her “indomitable anima in the face of distinct adversities.”
